"Land Use and Lake Reflections" |
|
Co-sponsored by |
|
LaSells Stewart Center, Oregon State University |
Corvallis, Oregon |
| |
We will meet this year in the heart of the Willamette Valley, where agricultural, urban and forestry land uses coexist and exert unique pressures on aquatic systems. OLA is still putting the final touches on the program, and may have room for your presentation. If you are interested in providing your insight to these questions, please consider answering our Call for Papers.
Topics of Consideration:
How can we measure land use effects on lakes?
- How do lakes respond to different land uses?
- How does lake quality vary across Oregon and how do Oregon lakes fare nationally?
- What are new tools for measuring lakes' response to human and natural inputs?
- What watershed restoration projects have affected lakes?
