The Oregon Health Authority is the organization at the forefront of lowering and containing costs, improving quality and increasing access to health care in order to improve the lifelong health of Oregonians. One program within the department is the Harmful Algae Bloom Surveillance (HABS) program which is working to gain a better understanding about the occurrence of toxic algae blooms in Oregon, and to advise the public when a bloom has been detected so people can take protective action to avoid illness. |
