Rich Miller is a research assistant for the Center for Lakes and Reservoirs and a M.S. candidate in the Environmental Science and Management Department at Portland State University. His thesis project is focused on modeling aquatic macrophyte distributions in lakes. He has contributed to many limnological projects throughout Oregon including the ecological monitoring of Diamond and Waldo Lakes. His technical expertise lies in lake and stream water quality monitoring, invasive aquatic species surveys, bathymetric and aquatic plant mapping, and data management. He recently helped develop the on-line Atlas of Oregon Lakes and is helping resurrect the Oregon Lake Watch volunteer lake monitoring program.
