We are announcing the Oregon Lakes Association annual conference Wednesday November 15 & Thursday November 16 (revised dates), in the Memorial Union at Oregon State University, Corvallis.  Please reserve the dates. A link to register for the conference will be live at a later date, but it should be noted that presenters are expected to register for the conference.

The theme for our conference will be Oregon reservoirs: Science and Management. This will address advances in our knowledge and evolving prioirities that are changing the way Oregon’s reservoirs are being managed. While several presentations will address this theme, we welcome presentations on any topic that is focused on lakes.

We are inviting abstract submissions for oral and poster presentations. We encourage submissions from graduate students and early career researchers. Student presentations will be eligible for best student talk ($500 prize) or best student poster ($300 prize).

Presentations can address any lake, pond or reservoir related topic, but topics of particular interest include:

  • water quality and harmful algal blooms
  • management and biology of reservoirs
  • ecological interactions
  • effects of climate change
  • lake and watershed restoration
  • aquatic invasive species
  • fisheries management

Standard oral presentations will be 15-20 minutes.  A live-stream option for oral presentations will be available and recordings of the presentations (with the author’s consent) will be posted online following the conference.

Please use the "Register" button above to submit abstracts online no later than October 2, 2023.  Your submission should include:

  • your presentation title
  • author(s), noting any student authors
